Bruce Springsteen y la E Street Band ofrecerán un concierto en Buenos Aires el próximo 14 de septiembre, según anunció hoy la página web del músico estadounidense.
El rockero de Nueva Jersey hará una parada en el estadio multiusos G.E.B.A. de la capital argentina dentro de la gira 'Wrecking Ball'.
'The Boss', como se le conoce popularmente, interpretará temas de su último disco, 'Wrecking Ball' (2012), pero como suele ser habitual en sus conciertos, la mayor parte del tiempo se lo llevarán sus grandes éxitos como "Glory Days", "Thunder road", "Hungry heart" "Dancing in the dark" y "The rising".
La gira 'Wrecking Ball' ha recorrido ya Europa y Norteamérica, pero en septiembre Suramérica acaparará todos los recitales, aprovechando la visita de 'The Boss' al continente con motivo del festival Rock in Rio, que se celebrará en Río de Janeiro el día 21 de ese mes.
Buenos Aires se añade así a Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo y Río de Janeiro en la lista de conciertos que reúne a Springsteen y su banda con la legión de aficionados que corea sus himnos allá donde van.
Aunque exitosa, la gira 'Wrecking Ball' tiene un sabor agridulce para el músico ya que es la primera tras el fallecimiento del emblemático saxofonista de la banda, Clarence Clemons.
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ World Tour has reached fans in more countries than any Springsteen tour and by its end will have included 133 shows in 26 countries for a total of 3.5 million tickets. Springsteen has always brought nearly superhuman levels of energy to his shows, but his current Wrecking Ball tour stands as one of his greatest and most thrilling. (It even featured the longest Springsteen show ever - four hours and six minutes, in Helsinki, Finland, on July 31, 2012.) For more shows, Springsteen shreds the pre-planned setlist and collects request-bearing signs from the crowd, leading the band in impromptu renditions of covers by everybody from The Ramones to Jackie Wilson. "I don't look at the setlist very much during the night," he recently told Rolling Stone's David Fricke. "I'm listening to the song we're playing - it's talking to me about what to play next. And I'm watching the audience. Sometimes it's the look in someone's eyes about how bad they want to hear that song they've written on a piece of cardboard or their head."
