Peter Gabriel and Genesis Reuniting For BBC

Peter Gabriel revealed on his official website that he and the original member of Genesis are reuniting for the first time since 1975 to take part in an upcoming documentary.
The feature length documentary is being produced by the BBC and will include the participation of Gabriel, Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford. A broadcast date for the film has not yet been announced.
Gabriel site had these details: From their first beginnings as a band of songwriters in the late 1960s to its final incarnation as a rock giant in the 1990s - via full-blown theatrical progressive rock in the mid-1970s and the subtler jazzy pop of the early 1980s - Genesis could perplex and enrage the die-hards, whilst exciting and exhilarating the newer disciples.
The film recounts an extraordinary musical story, exploring the band's songwriting as well as emotional highs and lows, alongside previously unseen archive material and rare performance footage across their entire career.

A veces, se producen los milgragos, porque no se puede definir de otra manera que Peter Gabriel vuelva a posar y juntarse con Phil Collins, Mike Rutheford ,Steve hackett y Tony Banks.
Es decir, los cinco Genesis de la época gloriosa de “The Lamb lies down on Broadway”.
Pero, ¿van a tocar juntos?. Eso ya parece más improbable, porque quien ha conseguido el milagro de reunirlos es la BBC , que está haciendo un larguísimo documental sobre la banda que revolucionó el rock sinfónico en los años setenta.
Parece que es Phil Collins quien ha forzado la reunión. Ha vuelto a escribir temas al estilo Genesis y piensa salir de gira, aunque sólo sea con Mike Rutherford y Tony Banks, como la última edición de Genesis.
Ahora no se ha hablado nada de volver a tocar juntos, pero siempre existe la posibilidad del milagro.Pero siempre hay reticencias personales y musicales entre Phil Collins y Peter Gabriel.Este era el auténtico líder de los primeros Genesis.
Ya en 1999, Trevor Horn logró el milagro de unir a los cinco para hacer una nueva versión de Carpet Crawlers, el tema emblemático de “The Lamb lies down on Broadway”.
