Cartel  para Cumbre Tajín 2015

 En su edición número 16, Cumbre Tajín respetará la leyenda "El trayecto de nuestra luz" para del 19 al 23 de marzo albergar a figuras internacionales de la música en diversos géneros así como talleres y una experiencia al estilo totonaca.

Brenda Tubilla, productora general del festival, anunció en conferencia de prensa el cartel completo que se integrará este año con una alianza con Glastonbury y una escuela de música de Boston para los ganadores del concurso de bandas.

"Siempre es muy complejo para un festival de este tamaño y con la presión este año decidimos hacerlo balanceado, diverso y con mucha calidad musical.

Más que cualquier otro año está muy bien logrado, volvemos a repetir los géneros musicales por día y tenemos a los mejores exponentes", informó esta tarde en las instalaciones del Teatro de la Ciudad.

Es así que agrupaciones como La Arrolladora Banda el Limón, Los Ángeles Azules, Incubus, The goastt, Aterciopelados, Empire of the sun, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, 2mandydjs, Alesso, Maldita Vecindad, El Tri y el cierre de Carlos Santana pondrán su talento en el sitio que ha sido nominado tres veces como patrimonio cultural.

Una derrama económica de 240 millones de pesos es la que se espera para el sitio, por lo que los grupos completos por día quedan de la siguiente forma.

Kinky celebra la irrupción del formato digital en la música

CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (26/ENE/2015).- La agrupación mexicana Kinky, que en febrero hará una gira por Estados Unidos para promocionar su más reciente material 'MTV Unplugged', celebró los beneficios que ofrece la migración del CD al formato digital, toda vez que permite que la música se pueda descargar y distribuir de inmediato.

El salto de formato es una cuestión natural. Todavía queda el formato físico para algunos de nosotros los nostálgicos; sin embargo, lo inmediato y lo digital es inevitable, coincidieron Gil Cerezo, Ulises Lozano, Carlos Chairez, Omar Góngora y César Pliego, integrantes de la agrupación.

En charla con los medios a propósito de la presentación de 'MTV Unplugged', cuyo primer sencillo es '¿A dónde van los muertos?', aseguraron que existen más pros que contras en cuanto al formato digital y que uno de ellos es que te puedes mover a todos lados sin cargar tu colección de CD.

Respecto su más reciente álbum, informaron que incluye cuatro temas inéditos: 'Ilegal', 'Sin palabras', 'Vuelve' y 'Huracán', que marcan "mucho la esencia de unplugged, con grandes trabajos en el piano y las guitarras, así como en los arreglos".

Convencida de que es un disco único y distinto a lo que han hecho, la banda -que del 11 al 14 de febrero ofrecerá presentaciones en Anaheim, San Francisco, Santa Cruz y Los Ángeles, California, Estados Unidos- cuenta con la colaboración de Carla Morrison, La Mala Rodríguez, Banda Los Recoditos, Voz de Mando y Beto Zapata.

El material, que rinde tributo a la música regional y grupera, se integra de 'Soun tha mi primer amor', 'Huracán', 'Para poder llegar a ti', 'Sin palabras', 'A dónde van los muertos', 'Después del after', 'Soy lo peor', 'Negro día', 'Línea de luz', 'Ilegal', 'Para que regreses', 'Hasta quemarnos', 'Vuelve' y 'Ando bien pedo'.

Mötley Crüe dice adiós a México

 El grupo Mötley Crüe dirá adiós a México el próximo septiembre con un par de presentaciones, como parte de su Final Tour.
La banda tocará el 8 de septiembre en la Arena Monterrey, mientras que el 10 de septiembre se presentará en la Arena Ciudad de México.
El 23 de enero inicia la venta de boletos, cuyos precios van de los 380 a los mil 950 pesos.

New York, NY (January 20, 2015) – Iconic rock band Mötley Crüe announced today on Fox and Friends the details of their final performance. This will mark the end of their touring career and will conclude their two year Final Tour cycle at the end of 2015 on New Year’s Eve, December 31 at Staples Center in their hometown of Los Angeles where the band’s career began 34 years ago. The band will be celebrating this week’s big announcement with a performance on The Tonight Show on 1/22.

Mötley Crüe first announced plans for their 2-year Final Tour by signing a Cessation Of Touring Agreement at a press conference in Los Angeles in January 2014, solidifying the end of their Final Tour at the end of 2015.

 The 2014 leg of the Final Tour was one of last year’s top grossing tours, selling close to a million tickets across 72 cities and grossing more than $45 million. “Mötley Crüe’s Final Tour has been a massive global success and a true testament to the popularity of this legendary rock band,” says Rick Franks, Live Nation’s Regional President of North American Concerts. “New Year’s Eve 2015 will mark the end of an era in rock history but there’s no doubt that Mötley Crüe’s music will influence generations of artists for years to come.”

After thirty-four years performing together, the 2015 leg of the Final Tour will see the band play Japan in February, then Australia/New Zealand in spring. In June Mötley Crüe will say farewell to the European Festival circuit with 3 massive performances at Download (UK), Sweden Rock (Sweden) and Novarock (Austria) Festivals before taking their can’t-miss show back to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico this summer for 34 final North American shows due to tremendous fan demand.

Se dio a conocer el cartel que conformará la edición 2015 del Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival y el cual en esta ocasión estará encabezado por AC/DC, Jack White y Drake, entre otros.

A través de su cuenta de Twitter, los organizadores del festival realizado en Indio, California dieron a conocer al elenco que este año se presentará los fines de semana del 10 al 12 y del 17 al 19 de abril.

Además de los "headliners", el encuentro musical tendrá entre sus invitados a Alabama Shakes, Tyler de Creator, Kasabian y Marina and the Diamonds.

Este año, los únicos mexicanos que ingresaron al cartel fue Nortec Collective, actualmente están realizando parte de su gira de despedida y se presentarán en semejante festival.

Los boletos saldrán a la venta a partir de mañana 7 de enero y pueden checar los precios y más información en su página oficial.

Este evento es uno de los espectáculos de música alternativa más esperados del año, sus anteriores ediciones han sido más comentadas por la asistencia de celebridades y famosos que por los grupos o cantantes que se presentan en ellos.

Mike + The Mechanics .Gira por Norteamérica


Mike + The Mechanics have announced that they will be launching a 30th anniversary tour of North America in support of the deluxe reissue of their hit album " The Living Years".
The two-disc set of "The Living Years Deluxe Edition" will include the studio album one the first disc and bonus disc that will include the new version of the title track that features South African Isango Choir and the band's current vocalist Andrew Roachford. The bonus disc will also include live tracks from the band's UK tour in support of the original album.

Mike + The Mechanics han anunciado que será el lanzamiento de una gira 30 aniversario de América del Norte en apoyo de la reedición de lujo de su exitoso álbum "The Living Years".
El juego de dos discos de "The Living Años Deluxe Edition" incluirá el álbum de estudio de un primer disco y disco extra que incluirá la nueva versión de la canción que da título que presenta al  sudafricano coro  Isango  y al  actual vocalista de la banda Andrew Roachford. El disco de la prima también incluirá temas en vivo de gira por Reino Unido de la banda en apoyo del álbum original.

The North American tour is scheduled to kick off with a two night stand in Alexandria, Va at The Birchmere on February 26th and 27th and will conclude with two Chicago shows on March 20th and 21st at Park West.

The touring group will feature Mike Rutherford along with Roachford, guitarist/bassist Anthony Drennan, keyboardist Luke Juby and drummer Gary Wallis.
